Sunday saw QPR Women in cup action once more. This time hosting Enfield Town Ladies at Harlington, for a capital cup fixture. After poor weather conditions during the week ruled out the r’s normal home stadium.

Embarking on the box only to hit the effort wayward. Cutting out an opposition counter attack, Melanie Hall made a magnificent curling challenge. Putting the play out for a throw. Continuing their fine beginning. The R’s dominated the day. Unable to score despite superb chances, created throughout the team. Doubling their tally for today. It was the turn of Kasha Petit. Chloe Gunn gave away a penalty, which was converted by the visitors. Finding the bottom left-hand corner from twelve yards. Keeping up the incredible tempo. QPR Women had chance after chance leading up to half time. None closer than Katie Akerman, as her attempt went over the bar. Closely followed by a Milly Cutler effort high and wide.
Getting the second half underway. The visitors began with a bang. Venturing forward on multiple occasions, finding space between the ranger’s backline. Almost grabbing a goal having rounded the keeper. If not for a remarkable recovery by Ailish Carolan. Not long later leathered away by Lauren Jordinson. Opening their second half account, the home side squandered a chance. Up the other end, Enfield had other ideas, attacking with pace and purpose.
