Four more for Tags!

For their final fixture of the season. Qpr women headed away to hashtag united. The game taking place at Parkside, in front of a bigger crowd. Both men’s and women’s trophies being lifted come full time. Having seen a double promotion for the tags this year.

Starting this afternoon’s affair. The initial effort went hashtags way as expected. Testing Katie McLean, back in the Rs net. Shortly followed by kasha petit chasing down a run. Rounded up by the host keeper. Putting on pressure. Qpr women picked out another chance. Caught by the keeper calmly. From a free kick hashtag forced Katie McLean into a save. However, she couldn’t keeper them out for long. As hashtag scores with a low effort going across the goal. Working well as a team rangers took the game to their host. Making the defence crumble, whilst Frankie sent a header goal bound. Not giving up Katie Akerman nodded the ball into the path of kasha petit. Trying to create a next chance. Doubling their lead, the home side scored from a lob. Letting fly from distance whilst Katie McLean was miles away from her goal line. Curling an attempt, the host next opportunity ended wide. Maximising movement from a guest throw. Hashtag managed to switch play, setting up Malika, whose shot came off Katie McLean foot. Back-to-back corners failed to cause the visitor’s trouble. Neither did a delivery into the area, batted away by the Rs centre half. Keeping up their urgency. The home side squared it time and time again. Attacking in numbers. Nothing finding the net. Driving a pass Ellie Searle aimed to pick out kasha petit in the box. Just beating her, as the shot stopper made a save.

Getting the second half underway. The first three chances went the host way. None proving a problem. Being clipped on half way, Ellie Searle went down. Ending a period of pressure. Sammy looking sharp in the final third. Clanging the crossbar hashtag had a shot. Second shot on hand, slapped away by Katie McLean. Sloppy passing put rangers in trouble, with the host taking advance ascending into the final third. Earning a throw in for their efforts. Containing the encounter. Katie McLean lumped the ball long. Back and forth football had hold of the game whilst time ran out. Erin pope trying her best, unfortunately not good enough to cut away. Shockingly submitting to an error. Sammy scored a third. Tapping in from close range, despite Ailish Carolan best efforts. Skying a shot Grace Stanley sent her attempt her and wide. Finding a fourth. The home side scored with little time left. Against a Rs side seeing out the season. Sending in a cross Ellie Searle hit the post. Proving to be the final piece of action this year.
