Smash and grab!

Kings Langley made the short trip to Earlsmead this afternoon. Taking on Harrow Borough, a week on from their hammering at Holloway Park. Beaconsfield putting six past the Reds. Leaving them embarrassed for the second time this season. Going into this game, the visitors were winless in seven. Last beating Hendon on new years day. Wood and Toiny- Pendred contributing to the goals.

Harrow Borough started the match with an early chance. Within a minute of kick off, Lewis Cole sent George Moore through. His shot hitting the woodwork. The visitors followed up with their opening opportunity. Jamie Jellis seeing the first of two efforts go wide, and the second hit the post. On twenty-three minutes, Harrow Borough’s George Moore and Frank Kieta combined well. Putting a cross inside the box from the left wing. Being cleared by Kings Langley after it bounced around the six-yard box. Finding the side netting two minutes later, James Ewington ran clear on the right wing. Letting his shot off towards goal at an angle. Edging closer, Harrow Borough had another chance to break the deadlock. Alfie Marriott coming to guest rescue as he got a touch on the ball. Kunle Otudeko let of a shot from distance as we went into the last minute of the half. Which was tipped over the bar by the Kings Langley shot stopper.

At the break Harrow fans were frustrated too not be in front. Having had many chances. Alfie Marriott putting on a brilliant performance, keeping the host from scoring. As he did in the first half, Lewis Cole set up the opening opportunity in the second. This time finding Frank Kieta. Who put his effort miles over the bar. Then Kings Langley went forward, narrowly being stopped by Shaun Preddie. Just before the travelling player let of a shot inside the box. However, Harrow were not able to hold on for much longer. Lanrewaju Ladipo gave the guest a lead. Scoring on twenty-seven minutes, he left a powerful shot fly into the net. Past a fully stretched Josh Strizovic in the home side’s goal. Sealing the points.

In conclusion Harrow Borough failed to take their chances. Once again costing them vital points. Similar to the performance against Hayes, the host were only defeated by a moment of brilliance. The difference between the two sides.
