Truro take second half control!

This Saturday Harrow Borough hosted Truro City. Facing second in the league, as relegation loomed. In front of a bumper crowd. Due to the away side bringing more than a handful of fans. To their credit considering the distance

Starting this afternoon’s affair. An early game of head tennis took place on the west London pitch. Leaving teams evenly matched in the early exchanges. Forming the first chance, Truro took a free kick just outside the box. Sending in a delivery. Darting through the area without contact. However, it was the host who broke the deadlock. Letting fly on his effort after an inspired run. Leathering the ball into the top corner, whilst the keeper stood frozen in shock. As the game ran its course the home side seemed to match their opposition. Opening opportunities, such as the Ahmet Biller effort which went wide, followed by shots from fellow reds. Passing patters around the final third. Truro city found a foot hold. Firing a few attempts at goal. Kept out by Jacob Knightsbridge, proving to be a level above the test. Crossing into the box. A visitor’s pass was unable to be finished. Despite the guest getting more dominant, with time running out. Up the other end James Ewington was edging for his second. Sprinting through centre backs testing the show stopper. Who had to slid out of his area, to avert danger.

Getting the second half underway, Harrow Borough had the first chance. Sending a cross into the box, bobbling around the area, batted away by the centre back. Levelling the score not long later. Truro equalised having been the better team for the period. Flinging an effort past the keeper, with a cross goal shot. Making a strong save Knightsbridge prevented a quickly followed second. Padding the ball over the bar in the proceeding play. Taking the lead, the guest got their well earned second. Low effort into the back of the net. Beating the on-loan shot stopper. Continuing to run riot a third and a fourth followed. Harrow heads dropping as they have all season. Players looking levels behind other teams in their division. The fourth being a wonderful whack from distance, whilst the third was a controversial conversion of a penalty.
