Six goal thriller!

Harrow Borough made the short journey across to the Sky Ex stadium this evening. Taking on Hayes and Yeading, for the second time this month. Due to postponements from earlier on in the season. Since the last meeting, tonight’s visitors have lost to Kings Langley. Whilst the home team drew against Gosport Borough.

A quick start from the host saw them take the lead within a minute. Smart play from Jack Williams sent in a cross from the left-hand side, for Moses Emmanuel to finish into the net. His thirtieth goal of the season. On four minutes Hayes had a second. Omar Rowe strike from outside the box beat Josh Strizovic inside the Harrow net. Top corner finish. The visitors managed to pull one back on nineteen minutes, when they picked up on a defensive mistake. Dembele firing into the net comfortably. Setting up harrow for a positive end to the half.

At the break Hayes and Yeading were the better of the sides. Finding the net twice in the opening five minutes. Harrow Borough caught out with two lapses in concentration, allowing their host to start brightly. When play resumed the guest soon levelled the score. Dembele getting his second of the evening. Tapping home following a counter attack. Up the other end, Jack Williams combined well with Jordan Norville Williams to win Hayes a corner. Which they were unfortunate not to score from. Having another chance at goal, Cole Brown fired wide on sixty-one minutes. After finding the end of an Omar Rowe cross. Staying in control the home side added a third. Francis Amartey sent a powerful effort over the head of the Harrow keeper. Giving this evening’s thriller a fifth goal on sixty-three minutes. Eleven minutes later, Hayes added a fourth. Having been in control for large parts of the second half. Cole Brown finding the net, for his first goal at the club. Assisted by Amos Nasha.

In conclusion this local derby proved to be a thrilling affair. Six goals on a cold night, supplemented by difficult conditions. Leaving league leaders Hayes one step closer to promotion this season. Farnborough the only side coming close.
