QPR Women hosted Cambridge City Women this Sunday afternoon. The R’s under the guidance of Sherell, with first team manager Steve Quashie away. Due to personal reasons. A league fixture bringing the teams together. On their last meeting. Today’s guest got a convincing win, opening this campaign.

Starting this afternoon’s affair. Cambridge City began the brighter. Bringing the ball forward, within a few minutes of kick off. Breaking away into the final third. Continuing their positive period of play. The visitors ventured again, ending their effort high and wide. Going on to take the lead. Accelerating towards the area, finding space for a simple finish, low into the corner. Past a frozen keeper. After touching down a header terrifically. As the half drew to a close, the host heaped on pressure. Putting their opposite numbers to work in all areas of the pitch.
