Ravel returns as Derby die...

Derby County visited the capital on bank holiday Monday. The rams completing easter fixtures, confirming relegation to league one. At the hands of a side who prevented their path to premier league in 2014. After a late strike from Bobby Zamora at Wembley stadium. Going into the game, this afternoon’s visitor saw victory against Fulham. Luke Plange and Tosin Adarabioyo finding the net in a two one victory. In what could be considered the leagues greatest upset this season. As the south London based outfit hunt for automatic promotion.

The host had the ball in the net, soon after this afternoon’s affair began. Rounding the keeper on ten minutes. Luke Amos ruled for offside. Coming close not long later, Chair saw his effort blocked. After working well with Thomas from a corner. Derby’s first opportunity came on twenty-two minutes, as they saw a shot come off the crossbar. Heading goal bounds from a Lawrence free kick. Doubling up on opportunities Bielik fired over for the visitors.

When play resumed, Ilias Chair had a shot. Shooting from distance before the ball was tipped over the bar. Making his way of the pitch. Moses was replaced by Osman, following an injury. With the next go at goal landing to Lydon. Who let fly on sixty-six minutes. Desperately searching for survival, Derby County pilled on the pressure. Breaking into the box was Byrne. However, Westwood finally made a save. As we approached the final ten minutes. His first positive contribution to this campaign. At least a breakthrough came on eighty-seven minutes. Luke Amos smacking home, having caught the opposition on a counter. Relegating the rams. Before the full-time whistle came Lawrence saw red.

In conclusion this is the beginning of the end for the pride park club. The rams will be competing in league one next season, if they can survive the summer. Against all the odds. A truly beautiful sight. Derby County, it happened again.
