Harrow Borough went into the FA Cup fixture against Chelmsford City with lifted spirits after beating Beaconsfield Town. George Moore’s strike a delight late on. Their last match saw them take zero points away from Hampton, losing four goals to two in the league. A place in the first-round proper will be important for both sides.
In the opening minute Harrow had a shot on goal, however it was deflected by the visiting keeper. Bryan came close minutes after with an effort that blazed over the bar. Preddie was able to break away as half drew to a close, Chelmsford defenders recovering well. Getting the first goal of the afternoon was James Ewington. Receiving a George Moore cross from wide, the striker slapped the ball into the net. First time finish to make it even better. Moments later the opposition scored with the same method. Cameron James got the faintest of touches to poke the ball past the home keeper.
Despite going behind Chelmsford City managed to rob a lead at Earlsmead. Harrow borough started well but were not able to hold on to it, giving our guest opportunities further up the field. Chances they ended up taking. Beginning the second period was an aggressive clarets side, tackles flying in from all angles. Dada being booked for his in the forty-nineth minute.
