In control internet club!

For their final fixture of the year Queens Park Rangers Women hosted Hashtag United Women. Concluding what has been a up and down year, the tags made the journey to Hanwell top of the league table. In their last match the host picked up three points on the road to Norwich. Erin pope and Brogan Moore scoring that day.

It was the internet club who kicked off this festive fixture. Passing it backwords they built up from defence, creating the first opportunity of the game. Quickly testing Lucie White in the R’s net. Making her return after a lengthy injury. The visitors started the scoring only four minutes in. mistake made by the host keeper, handing them a chance. Ball fumbled at the attackers’ feet. Making up for it the show stopper had a unbelieve period following this. However, Hashtag got a second on the nineteenth minute. Converting from the spot after a QPR handball. Coming close again as the half drew to an end, the guest had an effort narrowly tipped over the bar thirty minutes in. QPR Women had their final opportunity hit the wood work.

With QPR two down at the break Hashtag united demonstrated their dominance. Showing everyone why they are top of the league, and intend to not let it slip. Impressive from a side based of YouTube. A brilliant start in the second half gave the home side a lift. Coming out from the changing rooms with a point to prove, the Rs were all over their opponents. Melanie Hall pulling a goal back seventy-seven minutes in. Assisted by Edwards, the forward spun her marker. Great finish to bring the West London out back into the tie. Unfortunately, Hashtag got a third.

In conclusion the final game of the year ends in a defeat. Up against good opposition, it was always going to be hard. More so with the differences in budget. Hashtag deserved the win overall. The club have built a brilliant squad, one which will be pushing for promotion. Thank you to our landlords Hanwell Town for having this year.
