As issues continued at Hanwell Town with waterlogged pitches. QPR Women against London Seaward was moved to Rectory Park. Going into this game, players were greeted by a section of Swedish supporters, attending their first women’s game. Bringing chants and a flag to the game. Improving the atmosphere for all.

Starting this afternoon’s affair. London seaward began the initial exchanges with the opening opportunity. Finding space for a cross, coming down the right-hand side, caught by the host shot stopper. Trying again shortly after. A similar tactic played out for spectators. Heading into Katie McLeans hands, without any trouble. Unable to break down host defenders. The visitors ventured forward repeatedly close to the touchline. Shots from distance became more common, as their urge to score became more visible. Scurrying a shot past the far post. Their proceeding play did not separate the sides. Earning a penalty, the travelling team took the lead. Following Katie McLean flattering into the forward. Low corner the destination from the close-range conversion. Scored by Katherine Long. Creating the home sides first chance, Cambridge born super star Grace Stanley sent in a cross. Clipping into the guest centre half along the way. Doubling their tally. London Seaward did not wait long to get a second. Giorgia Bracelli sealing her shot straight into the back of the net. Within a few moments, QPR Women managed to pull one back. Kasha Petit picking out a perfect lob over the keeper from distance. Creating a vocal cheer, from the stunned Swedish R’s. a third went in for the guest as we approached the break. Unchallenged by the host, calm finish by Thomas – Arayo. However, action did not end there. Kasha petit secured their brace and the R's second on the stroke of the whistle.

Getting the second half underway. Ellen Wardlaw had a wonderful start to the period. Picking out space after space, sending in crosses, coming from the right full back position. Deep in the final third. The best of which whacking the fullback in the face. Looking livelier as the game went on Rangers ran riot. Ellie Searle excellent on the opposite flank, opening up areas to attack. Advancing her team up the field. A mile better than all others on the pitch. Levelling the score. An own goal headed into the London Seaward net. Inspiring the Rs to take their performance to a higher standard, searching for a winner. Getting better and better QPR Women worked a dominance. Denying their opposition chances to get past the centre circle, passing perfectly. None more so than Brogan Moore. Curling an opportunity against the run of play. The travelling team failed to test the host shot stopper. Shortly followed by a fantastic save, slapped around the post by Katie Mclean. Keeping the visitors out with valiant saves. An obvious penalty denial for QPR Women being the final piece of action today.
