Tiverton Town were the next side to face Harrow Borough at their West London home. Coming to Earlsmead having lost once in their last four games, the yellows have drawn their previous three league outings. Having faced the reds next opponents in that run. on their last visit the Devon based outfit hammered today’s host five goals to one. Three points were vital for Harrow tonight.
Getting us underway this evening was a quick Tiverton chance. Right from the beginning the visitors broke away, forcing josh to get low to prevent an early goal. Which he did perfectly. Harrow borough picked up after this opening opportunity. Linking up well they managed to get the first goal. Adenola finishing off a fine passing sequence, against the run of play. Ewington sent the ball to Moore before the full back could apply the last touch. The pair combined not long before but sadly hitting the crossbar. A moment later the guest had one back. Shepard the scorer. Switched pass across the pitch, slotted into the box brilliantly. Simple for the player to tuck away.
At the break it would have been fair to say Tiverton started the better. Instant chance for the yellows got them going, but their host stood strong. Improving as the game went on. Questions of red cards occurred a few times over the opening forty-five, but both sides still had eleven on the pitch when the whistle came. Coming out quickly after the stoppage Harrow took the lead. Scoring once more Ewington gave harrow a boost, which ended up changing the fixture overall. Assisted by George Moore the forward ran through on goal with acres of space. Soon after he had another. Charging forward at frightening pace, both attackers darted up the field. But it was James who got the third. Calmly putting the ball in the net. Gaps starting to show for the Devon side. With Harrow dominating and in control, Ahmet Biller received a red. His only other contribution to the season was an own goal. Playing with ten men the home side were under pressure. Just about holding out their opponents, they managed to last till injury time before concede. Koszela ending off tonight’s affair with a goal. Counter attack from a Harrow chance, they guest made the most out of it. Borough seeming to have switched off.
In conclusion this match was a feisty affair. Tiverton played well, but ultimately lost to a significantly better team. Great game to watch for a neutral. Ahmet Biller proved to be a liability once again, almost costing the reds three points. Now having done it home and away.
