Harrow Borough hosted Chesham United on Tuesday evening. The Generals making the journey to Earlsmead Stadium, sitting third in the Southern League Premier South. Winning half of their opening encounters this campaign. Whilst the home side are slowly recovering from shoot out success against Corinthian Casuals
Starting tonights battle strongly. The guest came out of the changing room all guns blazing. Testing Charlie Taylor, who still remains in the reds goal. Following an injury to Jacob Knightsbridge in previous weeks. Forcing the keeper to implement fantastic footwork to muffle the ball up the field. Failing to get it far, Chesham United came calling once more. Perfect passing permitting them to keep possession. Before Harrow had back-to-back corners, creating their first chance. Coming to nothing after wayward whacks at goal. Not long later the home side scored. Taking the lead, against all the odds. Kai Omoko Brosnan found the back of the net once more. Lifting the ball over Beasant in the visitor’s net. As the teams prepared for the break Harrow added another. Kai Brosnan bringing his tally up to two, putting a passed effort into the net.
Getting the second half underway Harrow Borough played some fine football. George Moore grabbing the first chance, just going wide of the box. Having brought the ball into the box all by himself. On his return from injury. Surprising supporters in the ground. Coming forward again, George created space for a cross. Comfortably caught by the keeper at his near post. Pumping a long ball up the field. Pulling one back, the visitors ventured forward. Forcing Charlie Taylor to flop the shot. Flinging it into his own net, causing laughter in the stands. With the game coming to a close Chesham won a free kick. Finding space past the way, plunging it into the opposition keeper’s chest. Who almost gave away an equaliser.
