Billy bags again.

Harrow Borough had a second home match this week. This time welcoming North Leigh to Earlsmead, still winless in the league. Ahead of this tie. Harrow have failed to pick up a point since their draw against Winchester City. A day’s rest following this fixture before the Reds are back on the road. Beaconsfield the opponents under the lights.

The opening opportunity for this afternoon’s affair went the visitor’s way. North Leigh letting off a free kick just outside the box, caught casually by home keeper Knightsbridge. Staying in attacking positions. The guest got back-to-back chances. Imran Uche coming wide, keeping danger out, as he blocked a space for shooting. Trying again the visitors did not give up. This time being blocked before a header headed towards Michael Bryan. Who was unable to make use of it, giving away possession. Going back towards the Borough box. Dealt with diligently by Knightsbridge. Having their first attempt, Kai Omoko Brosnan accelerated up the pitch. Testing the travelling keeper as he made a superb save. Tapping the ball past the post, amongst oncoming pressure. Batting the ball around the other post. Adam North was not able to rest. Leading to a corner, which the home side scuppered. Next to engulf open areas was James Ewington. Latching onto a long ball by Michael Bryan, last season’s brilliant forward found his effort go wide. Breaking the deadlock on forty-five minutes. Billy Leonard had the ball in the net. Two in two games, for the new borough midfielder. Sliding in low from inside the box. Assisted by Kai Omoko Brosnan, after a cross into the box.

Getting the second half underway was a break block from the Borough back line. Two attempts at goal, both seen similar fate, coming out of the danger zone. Dropping low again. Imran Uche dragged his team further up the pitch. Shortly proceeding by a stoppage, halting the game, soon into the second half. Free kick for the guest restarting play. Bobbling around the box. Harrow could have taken their tally up. Missing from all angles, and all ranges. A real shock to supporters. Goals seeming a struggle to get this season. Ridiculous pulling of host players was ignored by the Referee, despite calls of fouls from everyone else inside the stadium. Adding additional comedy to this afternoon’s match. Continuing the laughable comment from the line’s person in the first half. When he claimed a handful of minutes were added to injury time, after home players celebrated too long. Injury time also saw out the second period. Seven minutes added by more clueless officials. Giving North Leigh enough time to work the Harrow shot stopper. However, it was the host who got closer. Hitting over the bar from close range. Adenola more than adequately creating area for a cross.
