New Walton Casuals signing, and former Harrow Borough player Jordan Ireland was the next person to be interviewed. The versatile midfield who can fill in for his side in a range of positions will now be looking to kick on at his new club. Something I hope does. Thank you to Jordan for the interview, and I wish you well for the future. A great addition to any team.
Q) Earlier on in your career you joined Harrow Borough from CB Hounslow. What attracted you to the club?
A) Playing at a higher level was the main reason. Shaun Preddie being at the club played a big role too.
Q) Through your time with the Reds you played a few positions. How do you believe this impacted your role in the squad?
A) It probably made the team appreciate me more but also got seen as someone who can play anywhere instead of being known as a centre mid.
Q) Having made a vast number of appearances from the Borough, in league and cup games. What was your favourite moment at the club?
A) Favourite moment has to be playing in the final at Griffin Park.
Q) Now you’ve moved on to Walton Casuals you’ll be playing against Harrow in the league. What is it like playing against former team mates? And does it affect your desire going into the game?
A) I’ve never actually played against a former team so it’ll be interesting. I think there’ll be a bit more excitement going into the game but it won’t affect how I prepare and play.
Q) with a new season underway, and games in full flow. What are your personal hopes for the year?
A) Unfortunately, I got injured in the first game and it looks like I’m out for a while, so first is to get back fit and playing. After that, hopefully I’ll be part of a squad that is competing to get out of this league.
